Balagopal Memorial Lecture

Peoples' Democratic Forum (PDF) is organizing a Public Memorial Lecture on 23rd January, 2014 in memory of Dr. K. Balagopal at SCM House at 4pm.

The Session will be chaired by Dr. G. Ramakrishna and Advocate S. Balan will be delivering the public speech on 'Draconian and Undemocratic Laws'.

PDF will also be releasing their 'interim fact-finding report' on Kashmir, borne out of two visits to Kashmir valley made by a team of Human Rights activists successively on April and November, 2013. The fact-finding was undertaken to study the current situation prevailing in Kashmir, by meeting with political activists as well as people from different walks of life.

Prof. V S Sreedhara will be delivering a public speech on the same, titled 'Kashmir Now: Peace or Desolation?'

The event will also feature a photo exhibition on Kashmir by Ayush Ranka.
